Student Assistant

Sahra is a master student at the University of Bremen in the marine geoscience program with a focus on biogeochemistry, marine archives and climate change. She studied Geoscience at the University of Bremen for her Bachelor’s degree and completed it with a thesis about ‘reconstructing oceanographic conditions at the black sea since the last glacial maximum’. Last year she was able to monitor coral bleaching in a project she was doing in Fiji, and see the effects of global warming. She believes it is important to understand how the climate is working and how it has changed in the past to identify causes and mechanisms of climatic variation and make predictions for the future.
